Jesus wept!

Tears are sometimes the best words the heart can say! That was told to me by a very special person in my life! You know who you are and even though I doubt you'll read this thank you!

Jeremiah 29:11

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future!"-Jeremiah 29:11 NIV

My first mission trip= HARD CORE!

So we went to Mission Arlington on Sunday and came home Thursday night. So much took place through out this week. There was a total of 3 teenage boys, one 8 year old boy, and 7 teenage girls. We had only to adults go. So we had about 13 people there! Well putting 7 teenage girls in one bedroom for a week is no bueno! :D haha. Lots of drama this week. But God was there, he was surrounding us, I could feel him all around! I'm so glad I went!!! We did several things while were there. In the mornings we went to pick up donated furniture from people's houses. There was furniture from clothes, to hospital beds, to refrigerators, to swingsets. But it was fun. Then in the afternoons we did, what Mission Arlington calls, Rainbow Express. Each church was asigned an appartment complex, we got Aspen Woods! We went and knocked on EVERY DOOR and asked the kids if they wanted to come out and play with us. We did a puppet show, we had music, we played games, we had a memory verse, and we had the bible study! I had so much fun. There were 2 girls I really connected with though and will never forget. They were sisters. Vanessa was the oldest and she's 7, and her little sister Kamila (Kami) is 3. Vanessa and I hung out alot and talked quite a bit. She know's English because she's in school, but for the most part all the kids spoke spanish (which only one person in our youth group knew spanish and she didn't know very much). So I talked with Vanessa and gave her a Bible and played with her! And Kami spoke Spanish so I just carried her around and held her close and I loved them both! Kami even though she couldn't understand me, was latched on to me and I didn't want to leave either one of them! :( I loved them. Any way the mission trip was great and I know God was there!
